RECYCLING FOR DISTRACTION

Namsa Leuba wanted to create this series of images using recycled materials from previous artistic projects. She advocates for the importance of preserving our planet's resources in the modern age and in the face of consumption-related excesses. Indeed, the artist stages the encounter of elements she absorbed while living in French Polynesia, which symbolize for her the beauty of the world. Between reflections of the blues of the sky, the lagoon, and the ocean, and fleeting bursts of light revealed in rainbows, the forms illustrate the Mana (vital energy) that animates all things to give them life. Through their complementarity, these forms contrast the ideal of a dreamt paradise with the reality of the constraints of earthly life.
